If you want to maintain a top-notch smile and oral health, then you need to keep plaque at bay. This is because plaque creates tooth decay and gum disease, which are two very dangerous dental problems. So, our dentist, Dr. Laura Miller, encourages you to keep plaque at bay by doing the following things:

-Brush your teeth every morning and night for two minutes each time.

-Floss your teeth once a day with dental floss of your choice.

-Rinse your mouth with antibacterial mouthwash daily. (Antibacterial mouthwash kills the bacteria that create plaque)

-Use a toothbrush that has soft bristles. (The soft bristles can clean the smile and keep the oral tissues in tip-top shape)

-Use oral hygiene tools that have the American Dental Association’s Seal of Approval. (This stamp proves that the tools are safe and effective)

-Attend your dental checkups every six months for a routine dental cleaning.
