With the thousands of foods and materials out there that can stain pearly whites, you may find that your teeth aren’t as shiny as they once were. Awesome news: wanting a brighter smile is more rampant than you may think, and there are some possibilities you can pursue if a brighter smile is your goal.
Professional services. Chairside bleaching, also defined as in-office bleaching, can be done in as quickly as one checkup to our office. During this treatment, Dr. Laura Miller will apply a coating gel to your gums before applying bleach to whiten your pearly whites.
Toothpaste with whitening features. Every toothpaste contains abrasive materials that help your pearly whites look whiter by eradicating plaque, but there are a few toothpastes that contain compounds for polishing and removing stains from your teeth. Be wary, though, because not all kinds of toothpaste are created equally. As always, you can be certain in the toothpaste you purchase if it shows an ADA seal of approval.
At-home products. There are lots of products on the market that bleach teeth. Multiple come in the form of whitening trays or strips. These generally contain less-concentrated bleach than what we use in the office, so you’ll probably have to use them for at least a week before you detect any outcomes. Feel free to ask us extra about this type of whitening solution if you have extra inquiries.
